Berlin

Knitting in Berlin was a pleasure as I got some nice one Euro wool in variegated colors. There is a hobby shop in Charlottenburg, near the S bahn station ( close to Woolworth, Deutschland) thats incredible. The knitted hat scarf was soo good that one gypsy- Romany in Hungary wanted to buy it off me. Anyway I left the piece with my angel, and it will reach her in march.
The sad part is that my lovely blue cap featured earlier in this blog is some where in Germany, hopefully someone else is wearing it. I have a picture of it with a peacock. Since I type away at mty thesis, I am letting pictures speak for themselves this time.

Hi Meera...
This is the first time I read your blog. REgarding you post on using double strands of yarn to bulk up- how do we cast the stiches there? Do we use a single strand or double strands again? Grateful if you could confirm.

Sorry for the delay in a reply, I used double strands. This has to be done carefully becoz you tend to miss the strands. The single to double thread looks funny if it is the edge of a garment.
